While driving down Rt. 507 from Greentown toward Hawley, I spotted this lovely pair of bald eagles poking around a hole in the thin ice, looking for lunch. I pulled off the road and tried to sneak down close enough to get a good shot with the zoom, but they spotted me the moment I stepped forward to focus. I only got a chance to snap this one shot before they took off. (By the way, the ice on Lake Wallenpaupack is nowhere near safe for humans – there is open water still visible).
